When the term gong is mentioned, many will think of a huge wash of sound. And that is, of course, often true. But the Meinl Sonic Energy Thai Gong series is more for precisely the very subdued sound. This uniquely produced gong (each one will look slightly different), is therefore very appropriate in an environment where such a huge wash adds little or nothing, think of a meditative environment. Of course, this gong can also be used musically, ’t is just what sound you are looking for. To look at, it is definitely a beautiful authentic Thai gong, and a nice mallet is included!
