Meinl makes numerous percussive intruments, including those from the Far East. The gong is a good example; Meinl has some of those as well. The Sonic Energy Wind Gong series, for example; in this series you will find various sizes and models. It is an almost flat gong. With soft playing you can hear the gong produce beautiful deep tones. With loud playing, this gong opens up completely to produce a nice wash of sound. A mallet (matching the size of the gong) is included, as well as a cover.
